Dame Judi Dench, the legendary actress, recently achieved a lifelong dream by sharing the stage with Sir Mick Jagger, the iconic Rolling Stones frontman. This unexpected collaboration occurred during a live show at the Sondheim Theatre, where Dame Judi, aged 91, appeared alongside broadcaster Gyles Brandreth. The event, titled 'What’s The Play? What’s The Part?', was a surprise for Dame Judi, who was wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with 'Rock & Roll'.
Brandreth, who arranged for Sir Mick's surprise appearance, described the moment as a 'total surprise' for Dame Judi. The 82-year-old Jagger delivered a heartfelt speech, reflecting on Dame Judi's illustrious career, which has spanned collaborations with renowned actors such as Laurence Olivier, Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Clint Eastwood. Dame Judi, in turn, reciprocated the compliment by reciting a 17th-century love poem, 'The Parting' by Michael Drayton.
