Get ready for an exciting shake-up in the media industry! ARN has just announced the appointment of two powerhouse executives, Dave Cameron and Kerri Elstub, who are set to bring their vast experience and expertise to the forefront.
The Future of Media Entertainment Unveiled
With over 35 years of media experience, Kerri Elstub is stepping into the role of Chief Content Officer. Her journey began at 2UE, followed by a successful stint at Nine, where she held various executive positions across popular shows like Today, Weekend Today, and A Current Affair. For the past seven years, she's been at the helm of nine.com.au.
And joining her on this exciting journey is Dave Cameron, who will take on the role of Director of Content for ARN's metro radio stations. With 30 years of experience in radio and digital audio, Cameron's most recent role was as Chief Content Officer at SCA. At ARN, he'll be responsible for the metro radio P&L, crafting content and programming strategies for the KIIS and GOLD networks.
But here's where it gets controversial...
These appointments come after ARN's Chief Audience and Content Officer, Lauren Joyce, was made redundant in late November.
A Bold Vision for ARN
ARN CEO Michael Stephenson shared his vision, stating, "We aim to transform ARN into an entertainment company, creating audio, video, and social content alongside real-life experiences. Dave's strategic programming expertise and Kerri's cross-platform content experience will propel us towards this goal."
Stephenson praised Elstub for her understanding of radio, video, social, and digital, and acknowledged Cameron as one of Australia's top radio and audio content executives.
Cameron expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, saying, "I'm thrilled to contribute to Australia's media industry once again. ARN's renewed vision and energy make it an exciting company to be a part of, and I look forward to its growth."
Elstub added, "Starting my media career in radio, joining ARN as Chief Content Officer feels like a full circle moment. I'm eager to create engaging content and experiences that resonate with our audiences and commercial partners."
